A traze is any video or audio in which you show or tell anything you want or find interesting about a place you have been to. All trazes are located on the map so that others in Trazers can find them easily.
Trazers is the ideal platform to share all the places that you have been and love, or think must be shown: either a typical place or a tiny nook only you know and want to share. This way, other users will have the chance to see, through your eyes, all the places they have not discovered yet.
Videos: for instance, you can record a landscape and share why you like it, or tell a story about an emblematic place.
Audios: for example, tell the story of a hidden nook, recommend a place to visit, or where to find interesting things.
It is important to distinguish between the language of the site and the language of the contents.
When searching for a traze, all the contents, regardless their language, will appear by default.
If you want to be more specific and search for contents in one or more specific languages, use the filters provided for optimize you search.
If you want to set only one or just a few languages for all your searches, select your preferred languages on the Edit Account menu on your User Page. But keep in mind that, by doing so, you will exclude all the contents in other languages, which might be just as interesting. If you want to see contents in other languages you will need to indicate this specifically in your search filters.
Trazers wants you to access as much content as possible, so we recommend not excluding languages unless you are completely sure. If you want to filter the contents by language, you can always use the filters in the search engine.
Language of the website
On the site footer you will see a Languages option. By clicking on it, you will find the languages available for the Trazers site.
At Trazers we are working to improve the platform and enable more people to enjoy all its contents. Thus, in the future Trazers will be available in many other languages.
If you want to rate a traze or a tour, just hover over the rating system, which is shown as five markers. These are understood going from left to right, representing scores from 1 to 10 (from low to high). You can vote by clicking on the mark of your choice. If you change your mind, you can always change your vote.
In order to register on Trazers you must be over the age of fourteen (14).

Thus, all the content you upload will remain public and appear on the map.

Uploading a traze couldn´t be easier. You can do so from your computer, tablet or mobile phone.
To upload a video or audio, follow these steps:
Sign in and click on Upload on the header of the site.
Choose and write a name for the traze, expressing the essence of what it is (without special characters).
Click on Browse to choose the file you want to upload (max. 400 MB)
Associate an image to the content, or let Trazers use a frame of the video, or assign a default image to the audio.
You can mention the place corresponding to the traze, for enhanced orientation.
Select the language that corresponds to your traze.
Select one or more categories according to the content: nature, culture, history, folk…
Add a description of your traze.
To finish, click on Upload.
Once your traze has been uploaded, Trazers will automatically geolocate it on the map. If you did not have this option activated when you recorded it, you will be able to manually locate the traze on the map using any of the following simple options:
Use the search engine, which you will find just above the map, to introduce the address or look for the place where you want to place your traze. After the search, you may manually adjust the marker to the right place.
Explore the map and directly place the marker on the location the traze is related to.
If you know the GPS coordinates, introduce them directly in the search engine and the marker will be placed on that location.
Once your traze is already located, just click on Finish and your traze will be published. Do not forget to share it on other social media so more people can watch it!
You might have made a typing mistake, or chosen the wrong location for your traze. Do not worry! Follow these steps to edit again:
Access the space My World on your User Page and click Edit on the traze you want to modify.
A pop-up window will appear, where you may modify everything you want.
When you will have finished, click on Save and all the changes will be recorded.
Currently, Trazers supports the following file types:
Video: .mp4, .mpeg, .mpg, .webm, .ogv, .mov, .m4v, .flv
Audio: .aac, .mp3, .ogg
Some file types are not available yet. However, at Trazers we are working to allow more file types for your trazes. Soon you will be able to upload them in other formats.
Meanwhile, if your traze is not supported, you may convert it to a compatible format by using one of the multiple free converters available online.
Trazers sets reasonable limits on the size of the files you upload. On the Upload page, you will find the instructions regarding the maximum sizes permitted.
You may reduce file sizes using programs such as Handbrake or similar tools.
There are two main reasons why content may be deleted from Trazers:
The user who generated the traze has deleted it. Each user may delete or modify any content that he or she has generated or created.
Trazers has removed the traze due to inappropriate content or copyright infringement.
If you do not associate an image to the content that you are uploading, the system will assign a frame or an image by default. Remember that you will always be able to assign another image by editing the traze.
In order to delete a traze that you have previously uploaded, go to the My World section on your User Page and click on the (x) on the top right corner of the content that you want to delete. The system will require your confirmation to delete it.
Creating a tour is easy and very useful for your next trip or for other users´ trips. Just follow these steps:
Click on Create Tour
On the Tour Creator screen, follow these steps:
Step 1: Exploring the map or using the search engine below it, find the trazes that you want to use on your tour. Click on Add to Tour to select each traze.
Step 2: Sort the Trazes that you have chosen.
Step 3: Check your tour. You can add extra markers without content to make the tour go through a particular place by clicking on the Extra Stop button.
Once your Tour is ready, select your means of transport and name the tour.
Assign the corresponding categories and provide a short description.
Now your Tour is done. Remember that with the Trazers App you can follow it live and enjoy all its content.
If you want to add an additional point on the tour, but there are no trazes there, no problem: you can add an Extra Stop.
Trazers will create a marker without content on the tour, shown as a white dot, which will be considered when calculating the time length of the tour. You can use it either to plan a stop in that place or to make the tour pass through it. Do not forget to sort the extra stop on the Step 2 Column, and remember that you can adjust the Extra Stop on the map by just dragging it and placing it in the location of your choice.
When creating a tour, you can use other users’ trazes. If any of them is deleted, it will be automatically replaced by an Extra Stop without content.
Trazers will also inform you by email so that you can edit the tour or keep the Extra Stop, as you prefer.
By using the Trazers App, you can follow any tour created by you or by any other user.
Once you press the Go button of a tour on the app, Trazers will locate you on the map and will take you to the first point on the tour. Once you are there Trazers will automatically show the traze on that point for you. When you are done with the place, it will take you to the second point on the tour, and so on. Do not hesitate to use the Trazers App as your personal tour guide!
You may have made some mistakes when writing the name, or maybe you just want to change the tour or the trazes on it. Do not worry. Just follow these steps to edit it:
Access My World on your User Page and click Edit on the tour you want to modify. You also have this option on the tour-viewing screen.
It will take you to the Tour creator, with your tour ready to be edited.
Once you have finished, click on Save and all the changes will be recorded.
You may want to use a tour, created by you or by other user, as a starting point to create a different one. Just go to that tour page and press the Reuse Tour button. This will take you to the Tour Creator page, with the tour ready to be used as the base for a new tour. Remember that it should be substantially different from the original tour in order to prevent complaints.
The estimated time that Trazers provides is the time that it takes to do the whole tour. The estimation does not include the time spent at each point. Each trazer is different and has his or her own way of travelling. Therefore, it is impossible to provide an estimation of the time spent at each stop that will be valid for everyone.
In order to delete a tour that you have previously uploaded, go to the My World section on your User Page and click on the (x) on the top right corner of the content that you want to delete. The system will require your confirmation to delete it.
Upload trazes of the places you want to show, and describe or relate what you find interesting and think will be valuable for others.
Try not to upload personal content, and avoid scenes from your private life.
Try to make your content easy to watch and to listen.
In your videos, choose any format: panoramic view, landscapes or selfie…but remember that, for better viewing on all devices, horizontal videos are the best!
Try to narrate so that the rest of the trazers can understand what you are showing them.
Remember that any information that you provide about a place will always be appreciated!
Upload others´ content or contents of which you do not have a copyright
Upload trazes with inappropriate or offensive content
Upload trazes with scenes of private properties without the owner’s consent
Upload videos or audios outside Trazers´ scope.
The Trazers’ App is already available for iOS and Android. You can download it from the Apple Store or Google Play and from other app downloading platforms.

Your personal information will never be sold, and it will only be provided to third parties under your explicit consent.
The content which you upload to the Platform must not contain any material subject to the intellectual property rights of any third parties, or any material subject to any other industrial property rights held by third parties, unless the legal owner of said rights has provided you with a license or authorization, or if you are otherwise legally authorized to publish the material in question and to provide the aforementioned license in favor of the users of the Platform.
There is a Flag Content option for each element of content. Use it to report inappropriate content or copyright infringement. Please note that flagging contents without reasonable justification may lead to limitations of your user rights.
